Mr. Andy Palmer Smithson, age 89 of Marietta, Georgia passed away Sunday February 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 13, 2013 at 7 pm from the Chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home Kennesaw, GA., with Rev. Walter Langdon officiating. Burial will be private services at 10 am Thursday February 14, 2013 at Pine Ridge Memorial Park cemetery. Mr. Smithson was a native of Warren County, TN., and was married to Pauline Gunter Smithson for 65 years. They worked and raised their family in the Detroit, Michigan area. He worked at General Motors for 30 years before retiring to Marietta in 1984. He was much loved by his family and will be missed. Surviving are; Wife, Pauline Gunter Smithson, Marietta, GA. Son, Jerry Smithson, Canton, GA. Daughter, Elaine (Jim) Phillips, Marietta, GA.
