The Cobb County Water System reported a sewer overflow occurred Saturday in Mableton.

A wastewater manhole overflow, resulting in an estimated 210 gallons discharged into a tributary of Queens Creek, occurred at 11:21 a.m. at 6410 Mableton Parkway in Mableton. The overflow, which was the result of gravel, was stopped at 12:55 p.m.

A jet machine was used to clean the sewer main and lime was spread around the embankment.
