Elizabeth “Missy” Randall passed away January 1, 2014 at her home from a sudden unexpected illness. A celebratory memorial service will be held at First Methodist Church, Marietta, GA at 3pm Sunday, January 5. The family will receive friends beginning at 1pm at the church. Missy, as she was known by those who dearly loved her, was born in Marietta, GA, on June 5, 1964 and given the name Elizabeth Ann. She was the daughter of the late Joe Mack Wilson and Mary Elizabeth “Polly” Holloway Wilson. She grew up in the Marietta schools and attended First Methodist Church in Marietta where she met her future husband Thomas Kell Randall in 1981.  Married on September 7, 1985, they established their home near Marietta and lived a very blessed and happy life together. Missy loved Tom dearly, and they had five wonderful children who she cherished who also survive her: Mary Margaret, Thomas Kell, Jr, Joseph Stephen, Sallie Elizabeth, and Andrew David.  She is also survived by her brothers, Joe Michael Wilson and Stephen Holloway Wilson, and was predeceased by her brother, David. Missy had close ties to Marietta and surroundings, and was dearly loved and admired by those who knew her. She loved all things beautiful and classic, and she filled her home with many examples of her unique eye for things which did and will continue to bring her family joy of remembrance of her. Above all, she loved her church, and she loved her family into which she poured her heart as a loving and gracious wife and mother. She loved her kitchen and had a unique gift in preparing foods and sweets for those she loved. She loved life, to laugh, to travel with her family, and she was so very proud of them all. We are ever thankful for the Christian hope eternal she had and in which we share as we celebrate and remember her wonderful giving life. Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta will be handling the arrangements. 770-428-1511.
