Allatoona completed an undefeated region schedule for the third straight season, winning 58-28 on Thursday at Woodland-Bartow.

The Buccaneers (25-1, 15-0) have not lost a region game since Feb. 11, 2011 — a span of 40 games.

The latest win was never in doubt, with Allatoona taking a 21-5 lead after the first quarter.

Daniel Fowler scored a team-high 16 points, going 8-for-9 from the free-throw line. He also had eight rebounds and four assists.

Rodney Brown added 10 points, while Ephraim Tshimanga had seven steals for Allatoona, which will be off until beginning the region tournament Wednesday. As the No. 1 seed, the Buccaneers will have a first-round bye before hosting their first opponent.

Pope 61, Riverwood 57: Pope rallied from a 30-21 halftime deficit to claim the Region 7AAAAA road win in its regular-season finale.

The Greyhounds (17-8, 10-4) outscored the Raiders 21-9 in the third quarter to take control and held on for the victory.

Chase Hutchins scored 11 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, while Cole Childers went 8-for-8 from the line in the final period and finished with 14. Garrick DeBowles had 10 points for Pope, which made 17 of 22 fourth-quarter free throws.

Pope has a first-round bye in its region tournament, which starts Saturday at Sequoyah.

The Greyhounds’ first game will be Wednesday against a to-be-determined opponent, with the winner of that game qualifying for the state tournament.

n Whitefield Academy 66, Walker 42: Robert Baker had 11 points as the Wolverines remained winless in Region 6A.

Baker also had eight rebounds and four blocks for Walker (7-17, 0-11), which will host Mount Pisgah Christian on Saturday.

McEachern 4, Paulding County 1:
Using an 8-point pro set due to chilling temperatures, McEachern rolled to a convincing season-opening road win.

Robert Brown won 8-7 at No. 1 singles, and Nalinaksha Singh was victorious 8-1 at No. 3. The No. 1 doubles tandem of Gabriel Davis and Trent Hawkins triumphed 8-5, while Kelechi Anyanwu and Alizee Chubbs captured an 8-2 victory at No. 2.

McEachern will host Villa Rica on Monday.
