MARIETTA — Cobb Police arrested a Marietta woman Thursday after police say she used a radiator hose to steal gas from the Atlanta Gas Light Company for 18 months.

Stephanie Bond, 38, was charged with a misdemeanor for interference with a public utility and released on a $2,500 bond the next day.

Police say Bond, who, according to the arrest report, has a leprechaun tattoo on her right leg, used an “unsafe attachment” to transfer an undetermined amount of natural gas illegally.

The warrant states Bond had an “unauthorized bypass created” by a family member on the natural gas line to her home at on Judy Circle, in a neighborhood between Austell Road and South Cobb Drive.

The suspected theft occurred from March 2012 to August 2013, “a time when the meter had been removed for lack of payment on the account,” the warrant said.
