SMYRNA — A Powder Springs woman was arrested by the Smyrna Police Department at about 2 a.m. Sept. 22 after allegedly striking another woman in the face with a high-heeled shoe.

Megan Lea Hood, of Powder Springs, was accused of simple battery and public drunkenness, stemming from a fight outside of Zucca’s Bar, at 2860 Atlanta Road in Smyrna.

“While in an intoxicated state, (Hood) was attacking security staff while they were attempting to escort her boyfriend by physical force outside of the business for being involved in a physical altercation inside,” the warrant stated.

Hood “took off her high-heeled shoe and struck (a woman) in the face, resulting in tearing of the skin around the nose and chest,” the warrant stated.

Hood was released six hours after the arrest on a $2,500 bond.
