POWDER SPRINGS — Cobb Police have charged a Powder Springs mother with four felony counts of drug possession, as well as driving under the influence with her two-year-old son in her vehicle.
Mandee Roper White, 32, was charged Oct. 17 after losing control of her vehicle and driving into a ditch on Lost Mountain Road near Kingsbury.
According to her arrest warrant, White had five Hydrocodone pills of 10 mg and 5 mg in her jacket pocket, along with three Soma pills of 350 mg. She also had five more Hydrocodone pills, each 10 mg, in a pill bottle, none of which she had a valid prescription for.
“The accused…stated that she suffered from a long time drug addiction,” the warrant states
White totaled the 2005 Acura MDX she was driving when she lost control and ran it into a ditch, according to the warrant.
“Field sobriety testes were indicative of accused using central nervous system medications,” the warrant states. “Accused was unsteady on her feet and slurred her speech.”
The crash happened just before 9 p.m. on Oct. 17. She was released on her own recognizance from Cobb Jail after 11 p.m. on Oct. 18, according to jail records.
