A man and a woman robbed the Northridge Coin Laundry & Cleaners at gunpoint Monday about 8:15 p.m. in Mableton.

According to a woman who works at the Laundromat, at 5345 Floyd Road, earlier that evening a man and woman had entered the business and left a few minutes later. As she was closing the shop, the same woman returned and asked to use the bathroom. As she was exiting the bathroom, she pulled out a handgun and forced the female employee away from the front door.

Within a few moments of doing so, a man entered the Laundromat and went to the cash drawer and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police reports. Before leaving, the man forced the employee to the ground. The employee told police she believes the two suspects fled the area in a dark sport-utility vehicle.

The suspects are described as a white man, approximately 5-foot-9 with a medium build in his late 30s to early 40s and was last seen wearing a grey zip-up jacket/sweatshirt.

His female accomplice is described as being in her late 30s to early 40s. She had long straight blonde hair and was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt. She was also armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information is asked to call (770) 499-3945.
