Police say Sundiata Kaita Kamara secured an attorney video appointment with two inmates, Jermale Whalum and Patrick McDonald, at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
Kamara used the attorney’s booth in the jail to substantiate his claim that he is a lawyer to the inmates, according to police.
During interviews with the inmates, Kamara reportedly asked questions regarding the circumstances of their arrests and discussed working out a deal.
Whalum told Kamara he could use his public defender for legal advice and forward that information.
Kamara is not licensed as an attorney, according to an arrest warrant.
