The Cobb County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit in Marietta is asking for the public’s help in identifying someone wanted for armed robbery and aggravated assault at an area Walmart.

According to investigators, an unknown man stole from the Walmart location at 2795 Chastain Meadows around 2 p.m. Thursday and while leaving pulled a knife on a store officer before fleeing the scene in what was described as a light blue 1994 Ford Crown Victoria with a Georgia license plate.

A little over three hours later, the same unidentified man stole merchandise from the Sears store in the Town Center mall at 400 Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw and while leaving the store pulled a knife on another store officer.

He drove away from the scene in a similar car.

The man is identified as a white man, 5-feet, 7-inches tall to 6-feet tall and weighing about 250-300 pounds. He has “graying hair” and a mustache and is believed to be in his 50s.

This individual should be considered armed and anyone with information about him is asked to call their local law enforcement agency by dialing 9-1-1.
