Police investigating armed robbery on Powder Springs Road

Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the La Tiendita at 2200 Powder Springs Road, Marietta, south of Macland Road, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to investigators, three black men entered the building and one produced a handgun, demanding the cash drawer from the register clerk. After taking the cash, the three fled on foot.

Police say the man armed with a handgun wore a gray-hooded sweatshirt with a Georgia Bulldogs logo on the front. The second man wore a black-hooded sweatshirt with white trim on the sleeves. The third man was also wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

All three were described as being approximately five feet nine inches to six feet tall and in their late teens to early twenties.
