UPDATE: The MariettaPolice Department reports that Sharlene Sylvia Carter has been found "safe and sound." The Mattie's Call has been canceled.

The Marietta Police Department Detective Division is seeking the public’s help in locating Sharlene Sylvia Carter, 54 of Kennesaw. Carter has been missing since Tuesday, July 9, 2013 when she walked away from the Social Security Administration office on Franklin Road. Carter was last seen wearing a black and white flower pattern sundress and sandals.

Carter is under the care of a private adult care center and is unfamiliar with the area and has no local family. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Marietta Police Department Detective Ohmann at 770-794-5372 or the Marietta Police Anonymous Tip Line at 770-794-6990.
