Marietta Officer Jenny Murphy said the two females, Marietta residents Darchelle Arnold, 19, and Rolanda Fripp, 19, met three men at a club off Windy Hill Road and lured them to a vacant apartment in the Las Colinas complex with the intent of robbing them. Once inside, Marietta residents Joseph Brown, 25, Desmond Post, 27, and Jarvis Butts, 21, attacked the three male victims and a struggle ensued, Murphy said.
One of the attackers was armed, Murphy said. Two of the victims were shot, while the third was able to escape and call 911. When police arrived, they found 27-year-old Marietta resident Christopher O'Neal Jackson and Mableton resident Mark Anthony Jones, 28, in the apartment with gunshot wounds, according to police. Jones was dead on the scene and Jackson died en route to Atlanta Medical Center.
The arrests were made after authorities interviewed witnesses Wednesday. The three men and two women are facing multiple charges including murder, felony murder and armed robbery. They were transported to Cobb County Jail at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
