To celebrate its new partnership with Chattahoochee NOW, the Georgia Conservancy is taking visitors on a flat-water paddle on the Chattahoochee River near Mableton. The outing, set for Saturday, will take paddlers from Riverview Landing, just outside the perimeter, through an 11-mile stretch of the famed river, and will end at the Department of Natural Resources boat ramp near Sweetwater Creek State Park. Guests can bring their own kayaks or rent them from REI, though a limited number of REI kayaks are available. Guests planning to rent a kayak are encouraged to register ahead of time.

The cost of registration is $25 for paddlers who bring their own boats, $40 for those who choose to rent a kayak on-site, and $60 for kayak rental for two.
