Nearly 250 people were drawn to the Kennesaw State University Center on Feb. 17 for a Chinese New Year social hosted by KSU’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. A festive environment, a hearty menu and a live band made for an exciting evening.

Guests dined on fried rice, crispy orange chicken, Chinese pepper steak with vegetable stirfry, lo mein noodle salad with edamame, broccoli, carrots, radish and bean sprouts; carrot and ginger soup; and green tea crème brûlée.

“We’d like to thank Enzo Mancuso, KSU’s Culinary and Hospitality Services catering manager, and his team for the wonderful spread,” said Michelle Girage, an assistant dean for the College of Continuing and Professional Education.

After dinner came dancing, thanks to J.C. Campbell and the Reflections Swing Band.

“These socials are a great opportunity for our OLLI students to enjoy themselves while making new connections,” said Atala James, OLLI program manager.

“We appreciate everyone who came, and we look forward to seeing them again at the next one.”
