Credit union gets new VP

Delta Community Credit Union, which has three Cobb County locations, recently named Eve P. Nimkar as vice president of marketing.

Nimkar joins Delta Community having most recently served as first vice president of credit card services for Suntrust Banks, where she planned and executed acquisitions programs for SunTrust's personal and small business credit cards. She has more than 20 years of marketing and public relations experi- ence in the financial services industry.

She has a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Marketing from Oral Roberts.

Delta Community Credit Union, founded in 1940, is Georgia's largest credit union, serving more than 280,000 members.

WellStar generates $2.2B

According to a recent report by the Georgia Hospital Association, the state's largest hospital trade association, WellStar Health System's five hospitals, WellStar Cobb, Douglas, Kennestone, Paulding and Windy Hill, generated more than $2.2 billion in revenue for the local and state economy in 2011. The report also found that, during the same time period, WellStar provided approximately $114 million in uncompensated care. This is in addition to the unreimbursed cost of care provided by WellStar to Medicaid and Medicare beneficiaries of $80 million, an 18 percent increase from the previous year.

WellStar also has helped sustain more than 15,800 full-time jobs throughout northwest metro-Atlanta. These jobs are non-WellStar employees, such as vendors and contractors, and are in addition to the more than 12,000 WellStar team members.

Bank acquires Essex

Community & Southern Bank, which has three Cobb locations, recently announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Essex Bank's Georgia banking franchise - which is comprised of four branches in Loganville, Snellville, Grayson and Covington. Per the terms of the agreement, CSB will acquire approximately $192 million in deposits and no loans. The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2013. CSB's Cobb County locations include 3333 Riverwood Parkway in the Cumberland area; and 1350 Church St. Extension and 270 Cobb Parkway South, Suite 170, both in Marietta.

Providence gets new strategy VP

The Providence Group of Georgia, LLC, which builds in four Cobb County communities, recently announced that Lisa Brutvan, a real estate professional with more than 25 years of industry experience, has joined their team as the new vice president of strategy and product development.

Prior to joining The Providence Group, her background includes experience in sales, construction, architecture, land acquisition, advertising, marketing and management. In 2000, she founded Focused Market Solutions, LLC, an Atlanta-based real estate advisory firm specializing in providing fundamental marketing support to builder and development clients. Additionally, she was the qualifying broker and president of Marksman Realty Services, LLC, an Atlanta-based brokerage firm specializing in land transactions.

As vice president of strategy and product development, Brutvan will work directly with Warren Jolly, president of The Providence Group of Georgia, LLC, to develop and implement the overall strategic plan for the company as it applies to growth, land acquisition, product programming, project planning, internal operating systems and interdepartmental communications. As a liaison between land acquisition and development and the sales, marketing and construction teams, she will work to ensure that critical information is tracked and disseminated in a timely manner, creating a stronger team and even better process for home buyers.

The Providence Group of Georgia, LLC communities in Cobb County are Piedmont Cove in Marietta, Vinings Orchard in Vinings, and Whitfield Parc and Woodbridge Crossing, both in Smyrna.

Local designers in magazine

Kandrac and Kole Interior Designs, Inc. at 4430 Wade Green Road, Suite 180 in Kennesaw, has been featured in the national publication Southern Lady Magazine. The piece was released in the September 2013 issue and consists of a full article highlighting Joann Kandrac and Kelly Kole's design style and philosophies. As this month's featured Inspired Design, the pair share how they create "friendly spaces" that are both beautiful and functional for their clients. Ardent Companies acquires Midtown property

The Ardent Companies at 2120 Powers Ferry Road, Suite 150 in the Atlanta portion of Cobb County, recently purchased 37,853 square feet of retail and restaurant space at 1010 Midtown from its previous owner, a joint venture between Daniel Corporation, Selig Enterprises and Canyon-Johnson Urban Funds for $15 million.

An integral part of the 12th & Midtown Development Initiative to establish midtown Atlanta as a major Southern destination, 1010 Midtown is a 35-story, 630,000 square-foot mixed-use development on Peachtree Street between 11th and 12th streets in Atlanta. Comprised of 443 luxury high rise condominiums and eight street-level retail spaces, 1010 Midtown is currently home to Ri Ra Irish Pub, Panera Bread, RA Sushi, Mi Cocina, Piola, CB2 and Bank of America.

The Ardent Companies formed TAC Midtown, LLC to purchase the property and are currently negotiating a lease is for the remaining 2,021 square feet of retail space with an undisclosed restaurateur who owns several restaurants throughout the city.
