If you haven’t yet, please see the post below this one concerning the SPLC.
Giving race-baiting, parasitic hucksters a bad name: Recommended reading on the Southern Poverty Law Center I just read the comments there from the local liberals and thought it fun to share a little more exposure of the creatures at the discredited Southern Poverty Law Center. This time from William A. Jacobson at the Legal Insurrection blog with “
SPLC’s hatewatch gives cover to hate.”
A sample from Jacobson:
“As long-time readers surely know, I have examined the pernicious methodology of the Southern Poverty Law Center in moving from fighting Klan and neo-Nazi groups to fighting for the Democratic Party agenda against conservatives and the Tea Party. In seeking to justify its hefty salaries, budget and fundraising, SPLC made a very dangerous leap to treating political opponents as “hate groups” and speech it didn’t like as “hate speech.”My first post about SPLC was when Mark Potok, head of SPLC’s Hatewatch project, smeared a prominent black female law professor at Vanderbilt as an “apologist for white supremacists,” based upon a complete misreading of her review of a movie involving racially inflammatory rhetoric. It was a vicious attack, taken apart by James Taranto in The Wall Street Journal.Since then I examined the SPLC’s tendency to exaggerate hate group statistics for fundraising purposes, including inventing hate groups in my home State of Rhode Island:The Klan In Rhode Island? SPLC Exaggerates AgainConfirmed – SPLC Exaggerated About Klan In Rhode IslandWhen it came to the Tea Party, I wrote that SPLC Completed Its Descent Into Madness when it called a speech by Sarah Palin at the National Tea Party Convention in February 2010 one of the landmark events in the “Patriot Movement” (which SPLC defined as Tim McVeigh-type anti-government violent groups):Whatever SPLC once was, it now is a bastion of political hackery which, by equating legitimate political opposition with criminal violence, is doing substantial damage to our national fabric. It is time for people of conscience to speak out against SPLC’s tactics.SPLC continued its agenda against the Tea Party and conservatives when it persisted in claiming that Jared Loughner was “right wing” long after it was clear that was not the case…”Trust me, it is worth your time to read the rest of Mr. Jacobson’s blog. And educational!
From
his bio: “Jacobson is Associate Clinical Professor of Law and Director of the Securities Law Clinic at Cornell Law School. Prof. Jacobson is a 1981 graduate of Hamilton College and a 1984 graduate of Harvard Law School. At Harvard he was Senior Editor of the Harvard International Law Journal and Director of Litigation for the Harvard Prison Legal Assistance Project…”
Enjoy what is no doubt …“hate-reading.”
Internal documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee show that the Obama administration has been “cooking the books” in order to reach their “record” number of deported illegal immigrants, chairman Rep. Lamar Smith said Friday.
Based on the internal U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) documents, the number of removals are actually down, the opposite of what the administration has been claiming.
According to the committee’s review, in 2011 officials at the Department of Homeland Security began including the number of individuals removed through the Alien Transfer Exit Program (ATEP) in its annual removal numbers. ATEP is a program which moves apprehended illegal immigrants to another point along the border.
The committee chair claims that counting those individuals as removals is misleading because there are no repercussions for illegal immigrants who are deported through the program, and they can simply try to re-enter.
“It is dishonest to count illegal immigrants apprehended by the Border Patrol along the border as ICE removals,” Smith explained in a statement. “And these ‘removals’ from the Border Patrol program do not subject the illegal immigrant to any penalties or bars for returning to the U.S. This means a single illegal immigrant can show up at the border and be removed numerous times in a single year — and counted each time as a removal.”
Given the new information, the committee’s Republican majority subtracted the ATEP removals from ICE’s deportation totals.
With the ATEP subtraction, in 2011 the estimated 397,000 deportations become approximately 360,000, and the 2012 removals to date drop from about 334,000 to an estimated 263,000, according to the committee estimates. Projections for number of people to be deported by end of the year drops from 400,000 to 315,000 removals.
The decision of our president to use his presidential powers to enact a version of the Dream Act was the right thing to do for millions of young people, who will become loyal citizens if given the opportunity.
Good luck, you have many here who will agree with your attitude, of just deporting "them".
You and Deviln are making more out of my wish to remain anonymous than is needed. If I agreed with you and the other drooling wingers my anonymity would not be an issue.
Lib - you have proven that your idea of governmenmt is what you can get away with. Not only with this nonsense, but your constant backing of Comrade Obama and your opposition to any rule of law or enforcement of immigration laws that you don't approve of. You are part of the mob that is helping to kill the nation that protects your mindless and uneducated third grade level ramblings and responses.
I just moved from occupied Los Angeles. You are also part of the group that helped the hateful illegals from Mexico take over an entire city and soon to be an entire state.
But I have complimented you enough. I know all of that makes you proud.
What makes me feel better is that I know sooner than you think, you will be the target of the La Raza gang that hates all Americans who aren't part of their tribe.
You lack the courage to sign your name. That says a lot.
You know what is said about "payback".
Lib, anyone with half the intelligence of a monkey has four times as much as you and your alter-ego, Kevin Foley

And this Lib in Cobb woman, what a perfect and constant(Lib, do you have a life outside posting here?)reminder of how the Liberal mind "feels". Along w Kevin Foley, of course.
The US Congress had 10 years to decide upon The Dream Act, President Obama did the right thing.
I am happy you addressed two out of all the issues presented in my previous post. Now you can address the remainder if you dare.
Now some recent history. Obama waves his dictatorial wand and "poof" illegal aliens get legal. These days, we don't need no stinkin' Congress or Constitution!
And then there is Operation Fast and Furious, to arm Mexican drug cartels and make the 2nd Amendment look bad. (That stinkin' Constitution again.) Libs got furious when Nixon stonewalled a two-bit burglary. But stonewalling by Obama and Holder is just peachy keen -- even if folks get killed.
*Holding signs which depicted President Obama as a monkey.
*Spitting on African American congressman in May of 2010.
*Blocking the school house doors in Alabama while the governor was screaming about how wonderful segregation is.
*The Liberals are not waging wars on women's rights, Planned Parenthood, the poor, the elderly, Medicare, Medicaid, the sick, the disabled, voters rights, minorities.
*The Liberals never blocked the lunch counters.
*The Liberals have not blocked membership to any organization because of sexual identity.
*It is not the Liberals who want to give full rights to a gelatinous mass of cells, which on its own could not sustain life.
*It is not the Liberals who wish to investigate any woman who has a miscarriage, because it is thought that she might have self aborted (Bobby Franklin, GA State Rep.).
If you want more examples of how conservatives have worked toward limitation, please feel free to ask.
El Plan de Aztlan (El Plan Espiritual de Aztlan)
In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud historical heritage but also of the brutal "gringo" invasion of our territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our inevitable destiny.
We are free and sovereign to determine those tasks which are justly called for by our house, our land, the sweat of our brows, and by our hearts. Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans. We do not recognize capricious frontiers on the bronze continent.
Brotherhood unites us, and love for our brothers makes us a people whose time has come and who struggles against the foreigner "gabacho" who exploits our riches and destroys our culture. With our heart in our hands and our hands in the soil, we declare the independence of our mestizo nation. We are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. VIVA LA RAZA!
Lib: you are boring. And unable to learn. BTW;
Just read Foleys' latest blog. hahahahahaahhaaha
Leftists love to obsess about “hate.” It’s the lens through which they see the world. Of course it’s pretty obvious that “hate” for them is simply a code word for conservative and traditional Americans, i.e., people they hate.
Accusing others of what you do yourself, that’s a neat trick. The psychologists call it “projection.”
