More immigration “labor shortage” fraud education: VIDEO of immigration lawyers teaching employers how not to hire Americans in America

Below we link to a short YouTube video produced in 2007 – during the last congressional attempt to repeat the amnesty of 1986 and to expand immigration into the United States. You know, because we need more workers  so badly .

The video was recorded during a seminar staged by immigration lawyers who were hired to instruct employers on how get around American laws designed to protect American workers. As you will see, these attorneys are openly instructing willing employers on how not to hire American workers. So they can employ cheaper imported foreign workers without getting caught when they illegally pass over American job applicants.

Why? Because foreign labor works for less than American labor.

Because massive, immigration and the war on enforcement is all about the money and political power.

Because the fact that 20-some million Americans – including real, legal immigrants who came here in good faith – are out of a job or under employed mean nothing when it comes to the quarterly profit report.

With the help and protection of many in the biased and complicit media, the open borders rope-sellers in the U.S. have for years been screaming about a "labor shortage" and advocated for another amnesty and increased immigration. And then, even more foreign “temporary” workers.

Many of the replacement workers come to the U.S. on what is called an H1B visa. Although the visa is usually referred to by the press as a “guest worker visa” the holder can apply for a green card – and then stay in the U.S. permanently.

An H1B dependent employer must attest that by hiring a H1B worker, it is not displacing any US worker for a similar position within 90 days before or after filing a H1B petition. The employer must also attest that he has done a certain amount of advertising to recruit American workers.

This is a first in a series of videos to be offered here to educate readers on the scam that is the Gang of Eight amnesty/immigration expansion legislation. The current bill would roughly double the number of H1B workers admitted to the U.S.

And add about 33 million new job-seekers in the next decade.

Listen for: “I get 50 resumes, my  God, the last thing I want to do is interview these applicants.” And “our goal is clearly not to find a qualified U.S. worker.” And “our objective is to…” And “…Hoping not to find a qualified worker…”

Then consider calling Senator Johnny Isakson’s Cobb County office (770-661-0999) -to ask him about the alleged “labor shortage” and how he plans to vote on the Gang of Eight amnesty “we need more workers” bill.

I remember when D.A. King and Terry Anderson of Los Angeles, along with so many other immigration patriots, started to warn American citizens of the threat to their jobs, wages, language, and whole culture. They were the first along with Glenn Spencer and others to try and warn American citizens what the left it trying to do to this country. Now Republican RINO's are joining these toxic leftists, people like Lindsay Graham, Jeff Flake, John McCain and on and on. Charles Schumer did indeed LIE, in 1986 when he argued as a Congressman that the amnesty was neccessaray to solve the "immigration problem". Now here is this Bad Actor, Schumer, back again for a second chance to damage Ameriacan citizens their friends and families even more by saying "this is the only way". etc. It is obvious that Schumer and gang have nothing whatever left over for American citizens, and everything for foreign nationals from one of the most corrupt nations in the world-Mexico. Folks, please, don't let Mr. King and the American nationa down by supporting Amnesty or ANY, ANY POLTICIAN WHO PUTS AMERICANS LAST. We have boys and girls risking their lives for this nation and the likes of Schumer and gang spitting on them by their mass amnesty b.s.---- PEACE.

Well, as dry-land farmers can tell you, thunder ain’t rain. Read beneath the joyful headlines hailing April’s uptick in job numbers, and you’ll see the parched truth.

For example, more than a third of working-age Americans are either out of work or have given up on finding a job. Also, last month’s hiring increase was almost entirely for receptionists, waiters, clerks, temp workers, car-rental agents and other low-wage positions with no benefits or upwardly mobile possibilities. On the other hand, manufacturing — generally the source of good, middle-class jobs — did not add workers in April and has cut some 10,000 jobs in the last year.

Especially problematic was the continued rise in underemployment — people wanting full-time work, but having to take part-time and temporary jobs. Underemployment is also pounding college graduates. While they’ve been more successful than non-grads at landing jobs, they’re not getting jobs that fit their career goals or even require the degrees they spent money and time to obtain. Indeed, many of those rental agents and restaurant employees you encounter hold four-year degrees, forcing everyone else to scramble for the few, even lower-paid jobs further down the skill ladder.

Meanwhile, the next graduating class is already beginning to flood into the labor market from colleges and high schools with nowhere to go.

If there is a shortage, WHY AREN"T WAGES GOING UP!?? HUH?

One of my more heterodox political views is that advocacy groups do themselves a disservice by adopting BS rhetoric that simply sounds good, because they leave themselves excessively vulnerable to attack. A great illustration comes today from an Economic Policy Institute study from Hal Salzman, Daniel Kuehn, and Lindsay Lowell that shows pretty persuasively that there's no real "shortage" of STEM workers in the American economy. They look at this through a variety of lenses, but the key one is simply that you're not seeing big wage gains for STEM workers of the sort that a shortage would cause. And since a lot of the rhetoric around H1-B visas for highly skilled guestworkers has focused on an alleged shortage, this kind of research constitutes a big blow to that whole frame.

My husband lost his job to two engineers from Germany (yes, it actually took 2 people to replace him)who were granted Visas through this program.

He eventually found another job at less than half of what he used to make.

There is no worker shortage, but lack of integrity of employers.

Workers Claim Race Bias as Farms Rely on Immigrants from the NY Times!VIDALIA, Ga. — For years, labor unions and immigrant rights activists have accused large-scale farmers, like those harvesting sweet Vidalia onions here this month, of exploiting Mexican guest workers. Working for hours on end under a punishing sun, the pickers are said to be crowded into squalid camps, driven without a break and even cheated of wages.

Americans, mostly black, who live near the farms and say they want the field work but cannot get it because it is going to Mexicans. They contend that they are illegally discouraged from applying for work and treated shabbily by farmers who prefer the foreigners for their malleability.

This analysis tests the often-made argument that immigrants only do jobs Americans don’t want. If the argument is correct, there should be occupations comprised entirely or almost entirely of immigrants. But Census Bureau data collected from 2005 to 2007, which allow for very detailed analysis, show that even before the recession there were only a tiny number of even majority-immigrant occupations.

Among the findings:

•Of the 465 civilian occupations, only four are majority immigrant. These four occupations account for less than 1 percent of the total U.S. workforce. Moreover, native-born Americans comprise 47 percent of workers in these occupations.

•Many jobs often thought to be overwhelmingly immigrant are in fact majority native-born:

◦Maids and housekeepers: 55 percent native-born

◦Taxi drivers and chauffeurs: 58 percent native-born

◦Butchers and meat processors: 63 percent native-born

◦Grounds maintenance workers: 65 percent native-born

◦Construction laborers: 65 percent native-born

◦Porters, bellhops, and concierges: 71 percent native-born

◦Janitors: 75 percent native-born

•There are 93 occupations in which 20 percent or more of workers are immigrants. These high-immigrant occupations are primarily, but not exclusively, lower-wage jobs that require relatively little formal education.

•There are 23.6 million natives in these high-immigrant occupations (20 percent or more immigrant). These occupations include 19 percent of all native workers.

•Most natives do not face significant job competition from immigrants; however, those who do tend to be less-educated and poorer than those who face relatively little competition from immigrants.

•In high-immigrant occupations, 57 percent of natives have no more than a high school education. In occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant, 35 percent of natives have no more than a high school education. And in occupations that are less than 10 percent immigrant, only 26 percent of natives have no more than a high school education.

•In high-immigrant occupations the average wages and salary for natives is one-fourth lower than in occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant.

•Some may believe that natives in high-immigrant occupations are older and that few young natives are willing to do that kind of work. But 33 percent of natives in these occupations are age 30 or younger. In occupations that are less than 20 percent immigrant, 28 percent of natives are 30 or younger.

•It is worth remembering that not all high-immigrant occupations are lower-skilled and lower-wage. For example, 44 percent of medical scientists are immigrants, as are 34 percent of software engineers, 27 percent of physicians, and 25 percent of chemists.

•It is also worth noting that a number of politically important groups tend to face very little job competition from immigrants. For example, just 10 percent of reporters are immigrants, as are only 6 percent of lawyers and judges and 3 percent of farmers and ranchers.

@ Johnson - No, it's an economic study that disproves King's premise. I have also posted other studies under his allegations that prove undocumented workers don't "steal" American jobs.

Foley, King puts up an indisputeable video showing the lawyers teaching how to bypass American workers on H1B type jobs (skilled labor Foley) to get cheaper labor and you paste in something from a website on farm labor.

Is it your goal to prove that you are totally without any real knowledge on anything? And that you are the provervial pen kinfe in the gunfight when King is around?

From an Applied Economics Perspective & Policy 2012 study:

The End of Farm Labor Abundance

An analysis of nationally representative panel data from rural Mexico, with observations in years 2002, 2007, and 2010, suggests that the same shift out of farm work that characterized U.S. labor history is well underway in Mexico. Meanwhile, the demand for agricultural labor in Mexico is rising. In the future, U.S. agriculture will compete with Mexican farms for a dwindling supply of farm labor. Since U.S. domestic workers are unwilling to do farm work and the United States can feasibly import farm workers from only a few countries in close geographic proximity, the agricultural industry will eventually need to adjust production to use less labor. The decline in foreign labor supply to farms in the United States ultimately will need to be accompanied by farm labor conservation, switching to less labor intensive crops and technologies, and labor management practices that match fewer workers with more farm jobs.
