As a 30-plus-year subscriber to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, my wife and I have made the trek from the weeds of Cobb County to the bright lights of Midtown Atlanta to hear a world class orchestra. As a result of the ASO’s cancelling the invitation to the choruses of Lassiter and Walton high schools due to their “lack of diversity,” I am cancelling my long-standing subscription and support of that orchestra.
As the Progressive movement continues to impose its version of society upon us, conservatives and independents still have, at the moment anyway, two options: the ballot box and the wallet. I have chosen the wallet to voice my objection to the ASO organization.
The ASO is currently facing a labor dispute with its musicians, a possible strike and insolvency. This misguided “diversity” issue cannot help its cause. The decision to exclude our local choruses from the Holiday concerts (dare I use the word “Christmas”) over “lack of diversity” should make the blood boil of everyone in Cobb County. I suggest that every ASO concertgoer who agrees vote with your wallet as well.

This guy Romanstein is a nut job. He actually acted on,and revealed, his true, unadorned, impulse, which is an antipathy towards the majority population in favor of the progressive base.
No matter to him that virtually all the composers who furnished the music for orchestras around the world are white, most by far of the patrons of the ASO are white and Asian, and that the ASO itself is 99% white.
Today's academies keep turning out myopic morons who are inculcated with an antipathy towards anything white-European, and especially if they reside in the saner suburbs.
Let Romanstein stew in his self-concocted bitter brew.
