Marietta woman struck by car, taken to Kennestone Hospital

A Marietta women is in critical condition after being struck by a car while trying to cross Delk Road by Franklin Road Thursday afternoon.

Jeannie Richards, 40, of Marietta, was crossing Delk Road at 3:50 p.m. in the rain when police say Jessica Lamb of Marietta, who was headed westbound in a blue 2012 Ford Focus, struck Richards on the east side of the intersection.

Richards was taken to Kennestone Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

No charges are expected to be filed at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Geoff Culpepper at (770) 794-5357.
