Officer David Baldwin of the Marietta Police Department said a tall black man in his 20s, over six feet tall with a “thin build,” wearing all black clothing, including a hoody and a dark blue bandanna wrapped around his face, demanded money from a teller while brandishing a black semi-automatic handgun.
According to police, after stealing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot. No shots were fired and no one was injured, Baldwin said.
Officers were able to track muddy footprints they say were left by the suspect a half a block away to where Marietta Police believe he had a car waiting, Baldwin said.
Marietta Police are not sure if the suspect had pre-parked the car himself or if there was an accomplice waiting.
