A Marietta man is accused of stealing from his neighbors, who entrusted him with walking their dog while they were out of town.

Eric Duffin allegedly stole sunglasses, jewelry and a man’s belt from his neighbors while dog sitting. The victim saw Duffin wearing the missing belt when she went to confront him about the missing property, according to the arrest warrant. Police said Duffin admitted to stealing the belt as well as the other items, and said he sold the stolen jewelry to Kaminski Jewelry. Three items of jewelry were allegedly confiscated from Kaminski Jewelry during the investigation, shorting the jewelry company almost $140.

Duffin was arrested by the Cobb County Police Department on May 17. He is charged with theft by taking
