A Marietta man faces domestic violence charges after engaging in a heated argument with his sister.

Leonardo Wilkins was arguing with his sister when he threw a plastic cup at an 8-month-old baby lying on an air mattress. Wilkins’ sister then grabbed the baby from the air mattress to get away from Wilkins, according to the arrest warrant. Police said Wilkins also punched several holes in the walls and doors at the apartment. There were two other children present at the time, according to the arrest warrant.

Wilkins was arrested by the Marietta Police Department on July 17 and jailed on a $3,500 bond. He was charged with simple assault, criminal damage and cruelty to a child in the third degree, all misdemeanors.
