Malik Larell Burke of Marietta was arrested Sept. 2 on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges. The felonies include two counts of unlawful street gang activity and the misdemeanors include simple battery harm and theft by taking. He is being held in the Cobb jail without bond.

According to the warrant, Burke is a member of the gang Black Disciples. Burke witnessed two other members of that gang attacking a victim in the Gardens of East Cobb Apartment complex. Burke was also involved in locating the victim and took some of the victim’s belongings.

When confronted by police, Burke said he did not know where the items he took were, but did admit to being present during the attack on the victim.
