Jasinto Vail of Smyrna was arrested Oct. 8 and charged with battery, visible harm, aggravated assault weapon, public drunkenness and 3rd degree cruelty to a child, according to the arrest warrant.

Police put Vail in custody at the Cobb County jail on a $15,000 bond, after he reportedly slapped a woman on the face, threatened her with a knife and used profane language in the courtyard of an apartment complex on Gallaria Lane, Smyrna, while holding their 2-year-old child, according to the arrest warrant.
