Man accused of damaging mailbox

A Marietta man faces charges after police say he damaged a mailbox with fireworks.

Samuel Lachapelle is accused of setting off fireworks in a mailbox, causing damage to it beyond repair, according to the arrest warrant.

Lachapelle was arrested by the Cobb County Police on July 5 and jailed on a $1,000 bond. He was charged with criminal damage to a mailbox, a misdemeanor.
