Phillip Albert Early was charged Tuesday with simple battery and criminal trespassing.
According to a warrant, Early is accused of entering Carter’s Pharmacy off South Cobb Drive in Smyrna just before noon on Friday, going behind the pharmacy counter and attacking a pharmacist.
He reportedly pushed the man into the prescription shelf. After the pharmacist fell on the ground, Early allegedly started punching him in the head and body.
“Two men heard the witness screaming for help and came into the pharmacy and pulled the accused off the victim and held him on the ground until (police arrived),” the warrant states.
Early is accused of trespassing after he reportedly entered the pharmacy roughly four hours before the incident and was told by a police officer not to come back.
He was released from the Cobb Jail the same day of his arrest on a $5,000 bond.

I believe what is 'negative', is the corrupt ways of the city.
How do you spend 20 MILLION on 1 mile of road,.. that was decided 8 YEARS ago,.. and now,.. its a vacant wasteland w/ no businesses & no reason to buy a house in the area!!
See,... you are mad at me,... for asking the important questions,... when you should really be demanding answers to the same questions I am asking.
Smyrna is a dead zone.
Look around!
Wake up!
All the big corners are empty.
There are no neighborhood innitiatives to help protect home values.
Meetings are secretive & don't include citizens.
There is no vision.
No nothing!
A few baseball fields, grease food joints & churches.
There is life OUTSIDE of Smyrna.
I say it is shame about Smyrna, really is.
And people like the one mayor puppet that constantly attacks me, is precisely what is allowing Smyrna to remain stagnant, outdated, rundown and not attractive to developers.
Great, Sean, great work, hope you are proud of your 3rd world city. Just look at your neighborhood, Smyrna Heights. For rent signs are not what a stable neighborhood would be seeing. And I see 4 'for rent' signs from my house. The city is destroying Smyrna Heights home ownership.
There's more activity south of I-20 around Gresham Park/Maynard Terrace,.. turning neighborhoods into LIVABLE/walkable artistic communities, than anywhere in Smyrna city limits.
All Smyrna is, is a feeding trough for elected officials, their 'yes; men and dishonest cronies.
While other citeis mayors and leaders reach out and make things happen,.. Smyrna mayor hides behind closed doors.
Sandy Springs announced a large office tower/ hotel/condos/mixed use on 16 acres, today.
Smyrna ,.. on a similar property announces a fast food taco stand, donut shop & car parts place. And the Smyrna mayor is EXCITED?
All Smyrna residents and homeowners loose w/ crooks running the gov'ment in this lost city.
