She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Mr. James R. “Jim” Minter, Sr. of Marietta; her daughter, Mrs. Debbie Puckett and her husband, Keith, of Dallas, GA; and her son, Mr. James R. “Randy” Minter, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Acworth, GA. She was a beloved mom, Girl Scout leader, and prayer warrior. For many years she served as a representative, and later as a District Manager, for Avon Products. She also worked for Kennestone Hospital for many years in a variety of positions, both before and after she raised her children, finally retiring in 1995 from Information Systems as their Department Secretary. After retiring, and throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling with her husband and family to locations including such favorites as Hawaii, Alaska, and Colorado. Her retirement also allowed her to frequently enjoy her five grandchildren who survive her. They are Emily Jeanette Puckett Lee and her husband, Jake, of Dallas, GA; and Elizabeth, Joshua, Noah, and David Minter of Acworth, GA. She was well known for her delicious baking skills as the “Cake Lady” to all of her friends, and to her fellow choir members at First Baptist Woodstock where she sang soprano, and where she and Jim have been active members for many years. She was born to a large family and was preceded in death by Anabelle Swanson, her mother, A.G. Swanson Sr., her father, A.G. Swanson Jr., and Dewayne Swanson, both brothers. She is survived by two brothers, Dwight Swanson and his wife, Carolyn, of Marietta, GA, Ronald Swanson and his wife, Joan, of Eatonton, GA and two sisters, Sarah Duvall and her husband, Mike, of Woodstock, GA, and Sandra Guy and her husband, Jim, of Dallas, GA. She was also blessed with many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was genuinely cherished by everyone who knew her. The light of her smile, the generosity of her heart, the love of her companionship, and the benevolence of her countless prayers will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially by her devoted husband, Jim.
