Mrs. Joyce Christine Fields McGlaughn, age 48, of Dallas, GA, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. The funeral service will be 2 PM, Sunday, July 21st in the Chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta with Rev. Joey Hatchell officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. McGlaughn has lived in Dallas, GA since 1996. She volunteered in the school library at C.A. Roberts Elementary School in Dallas, GA. She was devoted to her family and was an avid dog lover. Mrs. McGlaughn previously worked for Suburu of America as an administrative assistant. Mrs. McGlaughn is survived by her husband, John Steven McGlaughn of Dallas, GA; son, John David McGlaughn of Dallas, GA; step-daughter, Samantha McGlaughn of Anniston, AL; parents, Carol & David Fields of Farmville, VA; brother, William Fields of Tappahannock, VA; sister, Patti Guroff of Cabin John, MD; nephews & nieces. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Cobb County Humane Society. The family will receive friends from 12:00 NOON – 2 PM, Sunday, July 21st at Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta (770) 424-4924.
