Max “Dugan” McBrayer, 87, of Alpharetta died Thursday, March 28, 2013. Family will receive friends 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm Saturday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with a Graveside Service at Mountain View Cemetery immediately following the visitation. Mr. McBrayer retired from the Fulton County Board of Education. He was in the Education field for 43 years. He was a WWII Army Air Corp. Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Betty McBrayer of Alpharetta; one son, Max McBrayer and his wife, Nancy of Milton; one daughter, Jody McCracken and her husband, Joe of Cumming; one brother, Thomas McBrayer of Marietta; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, Kenneth McBrayer. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Red Cross, 324 Victory Dr. SE, Marietta, GA 30060; SmileTrain, 41 Madison Ave. 28th floor, New York, NY 10010; or St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
