Lois Elizabeth (Dunn) Marler of Powder Springs, GA passed away on March 25, 2014. Born in 1921, Mrs. Marler was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. The widow of the late Ralph E. Marler, a loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her two daughters, Sheryl J. Marler of Marietta, and Sandra M. McCrary of Powder Springs; son-in-law, Gary B. McCrary; grandson, Ben S. McCrary and his wife, Jessie Edens McCrary; granddaughter, Jamie E. McCrary; brother, Jack Dunn of Hood River, Oregon; sister-in-laws, Jean Dunn, Mary Wilson, and Jo Marler; numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marler attended Marietta City Schools and was a graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, Ga and Draughons Business College in Atlanta, Ga. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marietta, Ga and was a volunteer at Presbyterian Village and the Cobb County Library after her husband’s death in 1993. The family will greet guests at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta on March 28th from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery March 28th at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the First United Methodist Church of Marietta or the charity of one’s choice. 770-428-1511. www.mayeswarddobbins.com
