It was a special weekend, recently, for Ruth Kurtzworth who celebrated her 95th birthday at Winnwood Retirement Community. Ruth, an independent resident, enjoyed the gift of family, traveling from several states, along with special local friends, to make her milestone birthday an extra special one. Her daughter and son-in-law, Laurel and Gene Kovach, hosted their family and friends for an on-going birthday event throughout the weekend, culminating with a birthday dinner for 60 at Winnwood.

Joining the celebration were local friends — Mary Jo and Fred Hurd, Renee and Mick Migdall, Patty Mozley, Nora and Bill Townsend, Sunny and Alan Walker and grandchildren, Kelly (Kovach) and Matthew Good with great-grandchildren Lucy and Charlie along with Lindsey (Kovach) and Stephen Jones with great-grandchildren Addison, Porter and Ivy.

Several Winnwood residents stopped by to add their birthday wishes and share in Ruth’s birthday cake.
