“The Community Bankers Leadership Division strives to ensure the future of Georgia’s banking industry through furthering professional education, promoting financial literacy in our schools, advocating for responsible legislation and regulatory processes, and serving the local communities of the member banks.”
Powell noted that an annual event for this group is raising funds to support Children’s Healthcare in their mission of student nursing programs, childhood cancer research, school health and other children-focused programs.
“Our group raised over $41,500 this year,” Powell said, “bringing total contributions to Children’s Healthcare to over $400,000 since 1989.
