It is an acknowledged fact that the majority of the Republican members of Congress took a pledge extracted from them by Grover Norquist not to cooperate in any way with President Obama’s proposals, in particular those that would raise taxes, even though the most wealthy in our nation, through tax shelters, pay less than the middle class. Norquist appears to be their “Godfather” of some sort. What hold does he have over the Republican Party? He has promised that their re-election will not happen should they fail to sign the pledge. Now do you get it?

Your polar opposite,

There you go again, calling me names. That's not what mature, responsible grown-ups with differing opinions do. The way we learn and grow, Tony, is to hear what others say before we speak. And because you disagree with another boy or girl at school, that doesn't make him or her wrong!
Your friend,

I see your mom and dad are letting you read adult newspapers again. That's good, especially if you read what I write. You'll want to be a well-informed voter some day, so it's very important to consider all sides of the issues before making your mind up. Believe it or not, there are some grown-ups who don't do this!
Your friend,
Kevin
Kevin is so insecure in the accuracy and veracity of the liberal propaganda he spews in his column he feels compelled to defend his position if someone happens to disagree.
He is afraid to let his comments and rantings stand on their own merit, because he knows they can't.
These are people so blinded by hate, they vote against their own economic interests.
Did you know Obama has been publicly dissing an American citizen -- who had no due process and no trial and we're not sure has even broken any laws -- Obama has been denigrating him around the world? Hey, that Muslim movie stunk, from what I could see, but an American president has never stooped so low until Obama got into office, commenting on things like he's a community agitator rather than president. Boy president. Small boy. We're living in the world of low standards. The new normal. Let's change it.
And we wonder why our country is headed in the wrong direction.
within the past two days, even the liberal MSM has noted that the Obamacare issue, for one, raises taxes on the middle class.
I dislike Obama, not for his intentions, some of which are good, but for the fact that he is following a plan to implement his ideas that are modeled after a system that has failed over and over in other countries.
Wealth redistribution does not work, has not worked and will not work. Providing incentives to people to start new businesses has a very successful history.
While the entire western world is in dire economic straits, we need leaders with vision and business experience , not a light up, get happy and let's talk collectivism, intellectual at the helm.
Obama has also made us look weak to the rest of the world AND that is part of his plan. He cannot stand America being strong. It , TO HIM, proves that we are imperial. Perhaps, to you too, or you would accept the truth and move on instead of seconding Foley's inability to accept the fact that, at this point in America;s history, Obama is not the right person for the job.
America will sink under the liberal beliefs of the likes of you. As you sit and sing paeans of praise to your Messiah, the Middle East is erupting in frames and the rest of the world is experiencing financial collapse. Your acknowledged facts are by and large liberal campaign slogans.
Keep on kissing the hem of you Messiah's garment and sing praise to your local hero Foley as America becomes a third world country.
Obama has not the know;ledge or the skill to raise all boats, so he is lowering the a-water.
