DEAR EDITOR:
The left’s feathers are all ruffled over Mitt Romney’s comments about cutting off PBS funding. “He wants to kill Big Bird!”
Actually, what Romney said was, he wasn’t in favor of any program for which we have to borrow money from China to support.
As Michelle Malkin’s article in your newspaper Monday pointed out, programs like “Sesame Street” are perfectly capable of surviving on their own and do not need to be on the public dole.
Ask yourself this; if PBS were as far right politically as they are far left, would the Hollywood and West Side of NYC elites be as they are? (You know the answer!)
I’m with Mitt. Let PBS stand on its own. We shouldn’t borrow money from anyone to support programs like this.
