Lee a discredit to office

DEAR EDITOR:

College baseball is a sport but professional baseball is a lucrative multi-billion dollar business. Why should folks who will never attend an Atlanta Braves game or watch one on television have any responsibility for providing corporate welfare to the Atlanta Braves’ billionaire owners? Let them pay for the stadium and charge those who attend games to pay extra for the construction of any new stadium.

If this backroom “deal” was such a wonderful opportunity for Cobb, why the secrecy? Chairman Tim Lee is discredit to his office and the folks of Cobb whom he is supposed to represent. When is the next election?

Lee for Governor

The next election will feature Mr. Lee winning the governership led by those who are happy the braves left the city center. In any large deal there has to be some secrecy otherwise land prices rise before a deal can be made. In the end Cobb will come out better and stronger with more tax revenue than if the stadium was not located here. And most of the voters in Cobb County strongly approve the move to Cobb. When is the next election?
