Lassiter to have Marching Band Showcase

Lassiter High School in east Cobb will play host to its 10th annual Lassiter Marching Band Showcase on Saturday.

This event is a regional band competition featuring some of the best bands in the area. After a two-year absence because of construction on campus, the Lassiter band family will resume this tradition dubbed a “fun day in the sun.”

This year’s lineup includes the following high school bands: East Coweta, Collins Hill, Campbell, Peachtree Ridge, River Ridge and Hillgrove. The Lassiter Marching Trojan Band will perform at the end.

The showcase will be in the Frank Fullmann stadium on the Lassiter campus, 2601 Shallowford Road in Marietta. Gates will open at 4 p.m. and admission is $10 for adults, $5 for senior citizens and children 4 years and under get in free. Refreshments and souvenirs will be available.
