King Center spokesman Steve Klein says no King family members were hurt in what he called a minor "bump" between a bus and another vehicle. It was not clear if the vehicles collided.
Klein says the civil rights leader's sister, Christine King Farris, was on the bus. Some cousins of King's family also were on board.
U.S. Park Police spokesman Sgt. Paul Brooks says an incident involving a minivan and a bus occurred near the National Mall around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. He did not know the circumstances of that incident but says no one was taken to the hospital.
