KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Current Kennesaw State students will have a chance to join the university's first football team.

KSU officials expect more than 100 hopefuls at the school's Sports and Recreation Park for tryouts Saturday. Tryouts will include running the 40-yard dash, an agility test and group drills.

Those selected will join the 29 recruits who signed letters of intent for KSU in February.

The team's first home game is scheduled for September 2015.

No walk-ups will be accepted at Saturday's tryout session.

Since SPSU is going to be part of KSU next year (2015), shouldn't SPSU students be allowed to try out for the football team along with KSU students?
