Kennesaw Mountain High School's marching band won first place in the Class AAA national competition at the Music for All's Bands of America competition in Indianapolis, Ind., this weekend.
Kennesaw Mountain and Walton high schools were two of nearly 90 bands that competed Nov. 7-10 for the 2012 competition.
Kennesaw Mountain placed first and also received honors for "Outstanding Music Performance," "Outstanding Visual Performance" and "Outstanding General Effect."
Walton was named a semi-finalist in the competition.

I was part of Lassiter in 2002 when we won the Natl. championship. The cost involved for bands from Texas/here/Florida/etc to go every year are restrictive.
Never going to get anything closer to a national championship.
