Jim Chapman Communities, 2625 Cumberland Parkway SE in the Cumberland area, announced in 2013 it had 89 closings that averaged $308,190 each with a total revenue of almost $30 million. After a year full of records such as these, the active adult builder is starting 2014 with its communities almost sold out.

Brookhaven of East Cobb, a gated community, is in its last phase and only has a six month supply of homes priced from the $290s. All offer two and three bedroom floor plans, brick and stone construction, front porches, optional screened porches, bonus rooms with full baths and oversized master suites.
