“Most people relate ice skating to a wintertime activity. It reminds a lot of people of a winter sport. But we are a year-round facility, said Sharon Fischer, general manager of Ice Forum at Town Center.
“(Ice skating) is a fun thing for families to come out and do. Most people ice skate. It’s a great exercise as well,” Fischer said.
The Ice Forum offers something for everyone in the family.
“We’re a full facility ice skating rink. We have youth hockey, adult hockey, birthday parties, group classes, hockey classes for children, snack bar, pro shop, and public skating,” the east Cobb resident said.
“We even have an arcade area for those who don’t want to skate,” she said.
“I’d like for people to come out and skate with us. It is a great activity for families. We’d love for them to come out and skate. We have a program for everyone,” Fischer said.
Typical hours of operation for public skating are Fridays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m.; Saturdays from 1:15 to 3:15 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m.; and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. Hours may vary with school holidays.
