The Georgia Department of Transportation says work will continue this weekend on the top end and east side of I-285 as well as on I-20 just outside the east side perimeter, weather permitting. Motorists should plan ahead and seek alternate routes to avoid delays.
Across the top end, up to three lanes will be closed in both directions all weekend between Ashford-Dunwoody Road and Powers Ferry Road for concrete slab replacements, bridge joint replacements and guardrail work in several locations. And, on I-285 on the east side, two left lanes northbound will be closed near Glenwood Avenue as crews perform sign structure work all weekend.
