MARIETTA - Recently, Marietta-based Glory Haus Inc, a designer and manufacturer of home decor and gift items, has hired a new executive, acquired two businesses and launched a new collection with a little "celebrity" behind it.

The new year will bring a time of growth for Glory Haus.

John Crooks, current administrator for Roswell Street Baptist Church of Marietta, will become the new chief operations officer of Glory Haus, a faith-based manufacturer of whimsical, inspirational, collegiate and functional products.

Molly Holm, owner and chief executive of Glory Haus, hired Crooks after they worked together on the Chick-fil-A Leadercast. That's when she said she recognized his expertise in problem solving and organizational skills.

"I am humbled and honored to join the Glory Haus team," said Crooks, who serves on numerous nonprofit boards and volunteers on public and private education-related boards and committees in Cobb County. "It is a wonderful opportunity to work alongside our owner, Molly Holm, as she leads Glory Haus to a bright future."

In October, Glory Haus acquired Brushfire Designs, an inspirational product line already in the wholesale market and well received. It is an artist-driven business whose product is in such great demand they could not keep up with production. Glory Haus has the production capabilities, and being an artist-driven business themselves, realizes the importance of preserving these great ideas and making the market viable for these artists. Artist and previous owner Jennifer Stevens-Nicholson will continue to design her products adding artistic divergence to the Glory Haus line.

In early November, Glory Haus acquired another local business, Simply Southern Signs, creator of wood sign wall art featuring Southern humor and whimsy, Christian verses and sports themes. Rachel Lietch Walker, previous owner and artist, has a passionate consumer following. She has never taken her product to the wholesale market, giving Glory Haus the opportunity to handle production and distribution to the marketplace.

Glory Haus is also announcing the creation of their new "Grateful Heart" collection in partnership with celebrity Trista Sutter, whom many may recognize as the first bachelorette on ABC's "The Bachelorette" and who found love with firefighter Ryan Sutter.

After 10 years of marriage, they are one of the few couples from the series still enjoying their "happily ever after."

Sutter has signed on to create a signature product line of wall art, picture frames, a journal, pillows and her favorite "Appreciation Jar." Her new book "Happily Ever After - The Life Changing Power of a Grateful Heart" - is available in stores.

Book orders can be made at from the Grateful Heart collection.

Sutter's "Grateful Heart" collection is now in production and available for pre-orders with shipments beginning in December.

"I have been a Glory Haus fan for years and a gift enthusiast for even longer and could not be more thrilled to be partnering with Glory Haus and continuing to spread the message of gratitude found in my book," she said.
