The Cakes for Kids Bake Sale and Benefit Concert is set for Feb. 23 at Legends Tavern inside of the LaFayette Garden Inn. The sale will raise awareness and funds for the Share our Strength: No Kid Hungry Campaign. Home-baked goods and confections from members of the community will be available starting at noon and throughout the day. At 7:30 p.m., the Cakes for Kids Benefit Concert showcases five local area bands: The Barstool Prophets, Smokey Road Band, Sky High Band, King Pound and Dawl House. The price of admission is $10 per person with all proceeds going to the Share our Strength: No Kid Hungry Campaign to help end childhood hunger.
Relay for Life 20th Anniversary
The American Cancer Society will host the 20th Anniversary Relay For Life of Troup County on April 26 and 27 at Whitesville Road Track. Teams may register at www.relayforlife.org/troupga.
