Ilona Wozniak, who previously served as the vice president and chief operations officer for WellStar Cobb Hospital in Austell, was named CEO of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan, 2101 East Newnan Crossing Boulevard.

While the 50-bed center is under construction, Wozniak is responsible for putting together a leadership team and staff. Once the hospital opens in December, she will oversee all of the hospital’s daily operations in addition to patient care and quality outcomes.

Wozniak has held multiple roles including chief operating officer and assistant administrator at North Fulton Regional Hospital. She received a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Michigan.

“We are excited to have Ilona leading our team and our future inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Newnan,” said Linda Wilder, HealthSouth’s South-

east regional president. “She shares the commitment to high-quality outcomes and patient care that are not only important to us, but most important to the family members of the patients we treat. Her past experience and leadership makes her an excellent candidate and proven leader for this role.”

HealthSouth is the nation’s largest owner and operator of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals in terms of patients treated and discharged, revenues and number of hospitals. Operating in 28 states across the country and in Puerto Rico, HealthSouth serves patients through its network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, outpatient rehabilitation satellite clinics and home health agencies.
