Immediately prior to the reception, the bank’s shareholders gathered for the annual shareholder meeting where Chairman John Moore announced that the board had voted to name Ron Francis as Chairman of the board and added CEO to President Terry DeWitt. (Moore will serve as vice-chairman.)

You need to get there — Marietta Square’s newest restaurant The Butcher The Baker. New owners Katie and Micah Pfister and Sterling Wharton conducted a private opening on April 16. Lucky guests sipped on specialty cocktails and tasted some of the wonderful dishes at the farm to table restaurant. The Pfisters’ resumes include experience at Bacchanalia, Empire State South, and Restaurant Eugene in Atlanta — surely a recipe for success!

The Cobb Wind Symphony presents its Young People’s Concert on May 5 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Lassiter Concert Hall, Lassiter High School in Marietta. The concert is also for those young at heart. Hear the symphony, small ensembles, and lots of great music. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. Scouts can earn credit towards badges.
