The fire, called in at 11:55 a.m., displaced 23 people. Cobb Fire spokeswoman Denell Boyd said they were being assisted by the American Red Cross.
Crews from the Cobb and Smyrna fire departments, a total of about 32 people, responded to the fire, which Boyd said took about an hour to put out.
Because of the damage to the 14-unit two-story building, a cause of the fire had not been determined Monday, Boyd said. Investigators also didn’t know if smoke detectors were working.
Two dogs located at the site of the fire were turned over to Cobb Animal Control.

All the Smyrna mayor does w/ taxpayers money, is allow for run down properties, then swoop in and purchase at a devalued price.
(while there is zero quality of life & no businesses coming to Smyrna)
This is what happens when the citizenry remains asleep,... corruption reigns.
As we speak, the whole Smyrna Heights neighborhood is in the process of being devalued.
Wake up, homeowners!! The time to end this injustice is now!!
We do have something in common though, we both desire a change in the fat-cats running things.
