The key to a good weekend is to be entertained. Go to Red Sky Tapas & Bar to hear dueling pianos.

Red Sky is an upscale, casual bar with a metropolitan feel where small plates are served. The bar is known for its extensive martini and wine list.

Every Friday and Saturday night beginning at 9 p.m. until at least midnight, Red Sky features two professional entertainers playing pianos.

“(The songs) are all by request,” said Terry Kirby, who owns Red Sky with Brian Kennington. Sarah Kennington, Brian’s wife, also works in the business.

“It’s an interactive show with sing-a-long. (The pianists) bring people up on stage. It’s similar to the show you get at Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans, only you’re in a nice restaurant with great food and drinks instead of just a bar,” said Kirby, a Smyrna resident.

“It’s fun to hear the songs you want to hear and be able to sing along with them, to be able to enjoy everybody else around participate with it and then getting to see people on stage is always entertaining,” he said.

“It’s a fun, high energy show. It’s a wide variety of music. It’s a broad spectrum of people,” Kirby said.

Red Sky is open daily at 4 p.m. Drink specials are Sunday through Thursday. Food happy hour is Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.

Red Sky is at 1255 Johnson Ferry Road.

Reservations are recommended. Visit www.redskytapas.com or call (770) 973-0100.
