Ann Rakestraw Davenport, 77, of Powder Springs died Thursday, February 7, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory Macland Chapel in Powder Springs with Rev. Rodney Colston officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Cemetery in Marietta. Mrs. Davenport was a lifelong resident of Powder Springs. She attended McEachern High School and worked for Tenneco Oil Company for over 20 years. She later worked for Walmart in the accounting department. She was a member of McEachern United Methodist Church in Powder Springs. After retirement she spent a lot of her time with family and friends at the Wedowee Lake in Alabama. Survivors include one daughter, Prissy Dixon and her husband, David of Powder Springs; two sons, Hal Davenport and his wife, Robin of Dallas, Ga, Mark Davenport and his wife, Angie of Dallas, Ga; one sister, Jeanette Taylor of Powder Springs; one brother, Billy Rakestraw of Powder Springs; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home Macland Chapel in Powder Springs. 770-942-1511.
